This weekend, the team were in Kirk Yetholm to welcome the competitors, finishing the inaugural Spine Race - a non-stop event covering the whole of The Pennine Way.

The local rescue teams had a very successful weekend fundraising at the Edinburgh Mountain Film Festival, 7th - 9th October.

In September, most of the team got a soaking as we took a Swift Water First Responder course. 

It was great training and quite a different way of spending the weekend for those of us who are more used to training in the hills.

Having provided first aid cover at many Borders ride-outs over the years, this year saw our first involvement with the Edinburgh Riding of the Marches.

Border Search and Rescue Unit attended the Voluntary Organsiations Awareness Seminar at the Scottish Government HQ, Edinburgh.

 Team provided safety cover today at the Yetholm Hill Race and received a cheque for £500

Border Hotel in Kirk Yetholm have donated £150 to the team.
